4 Serbs charged with Goraždevac fracas, Tanjug

May 14, 2008 on 4:43 am | In In Focus, Kosovo & Metohija, News in English |

PEĆ — Charges have been brought against 4 Serbs from Goraždevac for attacking bodyguards belonging to UNMIK and KFOR Chiefs Joachim Ruecker and Xavier de Marnhac.

The District Prosecution in Peć has charged Milić Milićević, Milivoje Zdravković, Radojko Dunić and Dušan Manojlović.

The charges refer to an incident on December 7 last year, when a group of Serbs from Goraždevac came to blows with Ruecker and de Marnhac’s security teams, as the two officials were speaking to Serb representatives from the local UNMIK office.

The four men wanted to speak to the UNMIK and KFOR chiefs, but were prevented from doing so by their bodyguards.

District Prosecutor Agim Kurmehaj told Priština media that the charges had been brought “for endangering UN staff and their colleagues.”

  2. That is almost laughable. They have no grounds for conviction. Nobody hurt anybody! How ridiculous!

I call that abuse of power!
