Hollywood Support for Serbia Grows

Carrying the information from Frankfurt daily News, RTS reported on Sunday that, after two among the most popular Hollywood stars, George Clooney and Sharon Stone, announced they will organize a protest against severing province of Kosovo and Metohija from the rest of Serbia, they were joined by Richard Gere and the all-time favorite James Bond - Sir Sean Connery.

“In case Serbian officials and Russia do not succeed in preserving Kosovo, the celebrated Hollywood stars might. The world’s most famous stars will, most probably already next month, stand in defense of the southern Serbian province in Hollywood, the heart of international movie industry: Sharon Stone, George Clooney, and also Richard Gere and Sir Sean Connery,” the Frankfurt daily News say.

Michael Douglas

“Due to the presidential elections in Serbia, all diplomatic activities related to resolving the final status of Kosovo-Metohija have been halted, including the intention of the Western states to recognize the unilaterally declared independence. Once this issue gets to the forefront once again, which is expected to happen in February, the world-famous stars are determined to organize a protest in Hollywood, to which they will invite all the just-minded people from around the globe, to stand up in defense of Kosovo,” German daily reports.

Clooney: I Can’t Hear the Serbian Side

The daily also notes that George Clooney, in an earlier interview, said that, even though he avidly follows all the world’s events, he is given no opportunity to hear the Serbian side too, when it comes to solving the issue of Serbian province’s status.

“Serbian lobby is very weak in United States and all one can hear or read comes from [pro-independence] Albanian lobby and lobbyists. I can’t hear the other side,” said Clooney.

Johnny Depp

He learned that Sharon Stone, his long-time friend, has spoken to numerous influential people in the U.S., in order to prevent the forced severing of a part of Serbia.

Richard Gere: Something’s Fishy About Kosovo

Among the first, she talked to Richard Gere who was campaigning for the independence of Tibet, but was not favorably disposed towards the Serbian side. Frankfurt News confirms that Gere will join the protest against Kosovo-Metohija amputation after all, because he became extremely suspicious of the intentions of Western powers, due to their overwhelming pressure and stubborn insistence to sever the province from the rest of Serbia.

“There must be something [else] about Kosovo, since they are so bent on seizing it,” Gere said.

Sir Sean Connery: Albanians in Serbian Province Can’t Have More Rights Than Scotsmen

Sir Sean Connery

The most popular James Bond of all times, Sir Sean Connery, reacted similarly. To him, the situation surrounding Serbian province can also be viewed from the perspective of his native Scotland.

“During its history, Scotland has had far more grounds to be granted independence, but it was not allowed to secede. What could possibly be the difference between my homeland and Kosovo, to create such a precedent now?!”, asked the celebrated actor.

Tom Hanks, Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro and Johnny Depp to Join Protests Against Dismembering Serbia

Meanwhile, PressOnline reported on Monday that more famous American movie stars will join the protests against dismemberment of Serbia.

“In addition to Hollywood stars George Clooney and Sharon Stone, who have already announced they will organize a protest against the American recognition of the unilateral declaration of Kosovo-Metohija independence, Serbia is also supported by Tom Hanks, Michael Douglas, Robert De Niro and Johnny Depp.

“Serbian position regarding Kosovo-Metohija issue will receive support by a number of other famous Americans. This is of the exceptional, vital importance for the preservation of Kosovo and Metohija. The voice of George Clooney or Tom Hanks in United States is heard much farther and better, and it gets far more regard than the voice of most politicians. When an ordinary American sees that some of the best and most popular Hollywood actors support the Serbian cause, he will start to view the whole problem differently,” the well-regarded Washington political analyst of Serbian descent Obrad Kesic said.

Tom Hanks

According to him, it is also important that this is the election year in United States.

“Both the republicans and democrats pay a lot of attention to the public opinion. If this campaign shows results and sufficient number of Americans side with Serbs, the correction of American policy, which is now entirely aligned with Albanian separatists’ interests, is more than likely,” Kesic explained.

Tom Hanks, a Brother in Christ

Reportedly, Tom Hanks is among the fiercest opponents of severing of southern Serbian province. The famous star who is a direct descendant of Nancy Hanks, mother of the American president Abraham Lincoln, was recently baptized in the Eastern Orthodox Church, after marrying the actress Rita Wilson, who is of Greek decent.

Robert De Niro Knows Serbs Better Than Most Americans

The fact one of the Hollywood legends-Robert De Niro-has also joined the campaign in defense of southern Serbian province of Kosovo-Metohija hasn’t surprised the well-informed, especially after the celebrated master-actor publicly supported Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic: back when De Niro was an unknown American student, he traveled to Serbia and spent, according to his own words, memorable days among the Serbian farmers in a small village in Sumadija.

He named his daughter Drina, after his favorite novel “Bridge on Drina River” by the Serbian writer and Nobel Prize winner Ivo Andric. De Niro is known for his high regard for Serbian people, also reflected in his choice of staff mostly comprised of Serbs - from the nanny and gardeners, to horse-trainers and private security guards.

  1. I have been trying to get John Hagee or Hal lindsey to come out for the christians against the nazis and wahhabis in Kosovo . After studying for over a yr , I finally said a lot of these stories of the Serb atrocities and testimonies against Serbs are not true . As a matter of fact I found over two thirds of the stories of Serb crimes were actually false . That is truley a lot of false stories , particulary when the stories are taken from ligitimate newspapers and official reports . Almost a impossibility . { NOT when you are dealing with high powered manipulation .} This is what Jew told me ! WHO are THE HIGH POWERED MANIPULATORS ? So you are certianly right if you think something is fishy in Kosovo .
3 plutzer prises awarded for Jounorlizim , 2 of them awarded on false stories . We can all have a lot of fun in Kosovo , The movie stars are most welcome

  2. WELL, FINALLY, SOME IMPORTANT CITIZENS WITH MONEY ARE QUESTIONING THE GOVERNMENT AND THE MEDIA, AS TO WHAT THE REAL TRUTH IS ON SERBIA AND KOSOVO. JOHN R. SCHINDLER’S BOOK “UNHOLY TERROR” TELLS THE COMPLETE TRUTH ABOUT BOSNIA, BUT THE SAME IS HAPPENING IN KOSOVO AND METOHIJA. MUSLIMS ARE OUT TO GET ANOTHER STATE TO BE UNDER THEIR CONTROL. HOPE AND PRAY THAT THE ACTORS’ACTION IS NOT TOO LATE.

  4. This is as hilarious as it is sad. First of all, George Clooney has already denied these preposterous rumors that he is against Kosovo independence. Second, “the most famous James Bond” did not say anywhere he is against the independence, he was simply comparing it to Scotland, which is under British control and always will be, but somehow you have interpreted that to be in support of Serbia. I don’t have time to investigate rest of these claims about other “supporters” but my assumption is that they are the same as Clooney’s “support”: false and invented by Serb propaganda.
Lastly, Ivo Andric, “the Serbian writer” is born in Travnik, Bosnia, adopted by Muslim family and never claimed to be a Serb. His novel, “Bridge on Drina River,” is entirely about Bosnia and has little to do about Serbia, even less about Kosovo. Since when was “Cuprija” Serbian word?
    You people have no shame!

  5. It is easy for you to say that. You never saw massacres that really happened on Kosovo. Albanian muslims were killing even their own albanians if they were not supporting independence of Kosovo. Their military, known as “UCK” were nothing but terrorists who did smany owful things to all people in Kosovo.
I also want to remind you that Ivo Andric was born in Travnik, Bosnia, but Bosnia in that period had 3 ethnic groups on it’s teritory: Serbian, Muslim and Croatian. He was Serbian. And he never was a citizen of bosnia, because it got independet years after his death. We were all Yugoslavians then.
Muslim are spreadin through Balkan states now, and Bosnia was just a first step. Now they are getting to Kosovo, and years from now, they are going to get as much as they could. From what is happening, every smart spectator can see that they are growing stronger and stronger.
Also, if you look at the map of Serbia now, you’ll see a little town near Velika Morava River, that is called “Cuprija”. It is true that the word is from Turkish language, but is officially in Serbian dictionary.
Get a little more education, and then start spreading your knowledge.

I must mention that a war in Serbia, was provoked from Kosovo. In that war, many innocent people have died. I was the witness. CNN never told the world about true facts of casulties.
    That much about High-powered manipulators.

  6. I’m not surprised at all to be honest. De Niro and Stone have the opportunity to know the details from their Serbian friends/stuff. The question is will they do what ever they can to help! It is quite obvious that Albanians gave a lot of money to get USA on their side but I’m wondering how come Americans have forgoten what Serbs did for them during WWII. Serbian lobby suck, Serbs rely on truth and justness while everyone else is giving their best for the cause. Everyone around Serbs were victimised while Serbs are shown as most brutal which is far from truth. Croats, Bosnians and Albanians have far more better organised lobbys and that’s the whole story. Money makes the world go around!

  7. By the way, is Sharon Stone that blonde actress, that is famous by showing her “thing” in a movie…hahahah… It’s so funny to read about all what you people are saying..
Do you really think that matters like this are in hands of actors…duhhh
People can agree or disagree about Kosova’s independence, and it’s not about lobbying, it’s not about how some people think that there is something “fishy”, or Muslim terrorism…or whatever might come to ones mind
It’s because this is the will of all citizens of Kosova, and one must be damn stupid to think otherwise.
Cheers to all of you interested in Kosova’s independence, you are all welcomed to come and celebrate with us :-)
    With respect A.B. from Prishtina

  8. kosovo is serbian. it is a very historical place and albaniens have tried to burn down every last piece of that evidence. albaniens have murdered serbs so many times aswell as serbs have killed albaniens. read some history.
albaniens have a country and kosovo is just a “mask” for a second albanien country. well just because america feels like they can give away any land they want maybe kurdish people should have turkey..

the games the superpowers play against each other, i think also there is something very important about kosovo. maybe to get another ally on US side? maybe there is gold in kosovo haha?

the fact remains, kosovo has and is serbian. just because the majority is albanien thats cause they drove them out! serbian kids have to have protection to go to school!! but serbs drove the turks out after 500 years of struggle and kosovo will be serbian again.

this is so unfair and once again, its shown that money is more important than a good heart and some sence!

  9. This is really a travesty and disgusting. Albanians committed horrific crimes against the Serbs in Kosovo, but you dont hear about this because of the money contributed by the Albanian lobby. Where do they get this money by and large? Drugs, prostitution, arms sale… black money. Here are some facts about Kosovo:

90% of Kosovo is Albanian, and guess what? Almost 60% unemployment, 70% among youth under 25. The main export is organized crime! Thaci is a terrorist and led the UCK. THe UCK was on the CIA list of TERRORIST GROUPS, until they were labeled “freedom fighters” less than a year later due to political pressure.

The US has a history of supporting terrorists and other bad people, which has come back to bite us (I am a US citizen). Al Queda, Saddam Hussein, and now terrorist Thaci and Albanian Kosovo. Does anyone see a pattern?!?

For all my Serbian friends, you must get organized and pool resources to buy political clout. Unfortunately, this is the only way. Take a lesson from the Jews… they have an unstoppable political agenda because they have figured it out.

  11. It was a great disappointment to see USA’s endorsement and support of the proclamation of this illegal and immoral charade of the ‘birth of a new nation’. Why? Because such approval is a clear demonstration of thoughtlessness and the ‘herd instinct’, where muddled thinking and ignorance of the facts and history of the region are lost amid the layers of lies and hubris. Serbia’s borders include Kosovo and always have, regardless of the disintegration of Yugoslavia.

What is true is that Serbia’s DNA, its heritage, its history and its myths are inextricably entertwined with Kosovo, the Holy Land of Serbia’s founding fathers, leaders and Christian Orthodox saints. Historical evidence of Serb roots in Kosovo abounds in its beautiful ancient monasteries, frescoes and Byzantine orthodox churches. The core identity of the Serbian nation was given birth in Kosovo, hence the term that ‘Kosovo is the cradle of Serbian civilization’. Again, Serbian claims to Kosovo can be supported by factual, historical evidence, unlike the baseless Albanians’ claims about descending from the Illyrians. Claiming something does not prove it is historical fact.

Kosovo has for centuries been the symbol of Christian resistance to islamization. In 1389 the Serbs led by Tsar Lazar, were defeated by the muslim Ottoman Turks in the Battle of Kosovo. This terrible defeat ushered in 500 years of Turkish domination, giving rise to the spread of Islam. After centuries of subjugation, the Serbs finally defeated the weakened Ottoman Turks in the Balkan Wars of 1911-12. However, due to the Turkish islamization of Slavs in Bosnia, the recent Bosnian war almost saw the birth of an islamic nation in Europe. Now the west is instrumental in making a gift of Kosovo to the ethnic muslim Albanians. This extremely provocative illegal act of stealing Christian Kosovo from the Serbian nation to give to ethnic muslims is insulting, heretical and unjust.

The Albanians have no claim to Kosovo, except in their high birth-rate. They came across the mountains from Albania enmasse after WWII as refugees, encouraged by Tito. The high birth-rate of Albanians ensured that over the past 60 years they quickly outnumbered the Serbs, who began leaving the lands of their forefathers in Kosovo in the early 1970’s, due to bullying by the already more numerous Albanian population. With time such harrassment became more systematic and organized, ever further steadily reducing the Serb population.

In 1988 Slobodan Milosevic visited Kosovo to listen to the outnumbered Serbs’ lament of bullying by the Albanians, and promised them: “No-one is permitted to harm you.” Milosevic’s decision to cancel Albanian autonomy and for Kosovo to be under Belgrade’s leadership was solely in response to constant Albanian aggression against Kosovo Serbs. As the world now knows, Milosevic not only failed to protect the Serbs but the Albanians have won more than they ever dreamed possible, and more than they have ever had a right to. This treacherous theft of Kosovo from the Serbs cannot be the foundation of peace, security and prosperity in the region, nor in the world, it can only be the source of further conflict and misfortune.

Notwithstanding the disintegration of the former Yugoslavia, Serbia’s borders include Kosovo, and have done so for many centuries. The present sheer numbers of the Albanians ought not having any bearing on the legal borders of Serbia, and the predominance of an ethnic minority in an area cannot be the cornerstone of nationhood in contemporary Europe. Otherwise, the notion of a ‘European Union’ is hollow and meaningless as this illegal act of seccession is ethnic-cleansing in reverse.

Why is it suddenly ok to unilaterally declare nationhood principally on the basis of the numbers of an ethnic people in a host country? It follows that one day the same could occur in any other European country, and a particular ethnic group whose birth-rate is particularly high will grab a patch of land and unilaterally declare it as ‘their’ new, separate country, because they can. Surely, if it can happen to Serbia today, then the precedent will be there for others to do the same tomorrow.

The real question is, why are the Albanians being allowed by the Western powers to enshrine this baseless claim? When NATO bombed Serbia, which includes Kosovo, because of the confrontation with Slobodan Milosevic, Serbian people everywhere were its victims, not just the Albanians in Kosovo. However, the media’s outpouring of sympathy on our TV screens was mostly with the Albanians, whose expert manipulations of the media ensured that their victimhood received world media coverage and their false ‘cause’ regarding claims to Kosovo given abundant attention.

The ’struggle’ of the Albanian victims has now been rewarded extremely generously by the US and other western powers, by stealing Kosovo from the Serbs to give to the Albanians. How can any ethical organization or country support this absurd and criminal charade? How hypocritical for the US, Britain, France and others to support such treachery when they would never give up even an inch of their territorial integrity to an ethnic minority!

To enshrine political belligerance, disguised as victimhood with political support, is to make a mockery of the meaning of nationhood, international law, ethics and morals and it sets an ominous international precedent - a can of worms if ever there was one.

This dangerous insanity, where Albanian liars, cheats and thieves are now stealing Kosovo from Serbia, a travesty which has been forced upon the Serbian nation by the present government of the USA.

PS: That ugly red & black flag would make the devil envious - it could not look more evil if the devil himself creatd it.

  14. I am from Greece an I trully support Serbia. Greeks and Serbians are brothers. I wish that Hollywood actors offered the same support to Macedonia. Macedonia that was and will always be GREEK. USA, EE, NATO and the UN are robbing our national identity. A large number of countries are against GREECE. Lets not forget that it was Ancient Greece that gave the lights to other nations. The concept of democracy that is used around the world was born in Greece.
