USDA and Serbian Unity Congress Organize a Study-tour and workshop for Serbian Businesses in the California Wine Region

The United State Department of Agriculture (USDA) in cooperation with the Serbian Unity Congress (SUC) is organizing a study-tour on October 26 for a Serbian delegation of wine producers, processors, officials from the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Chambers of Commerce and several Serbian Municipalities and companies. The purpose of the study-tour, which will be implemented by the University of California-Davis, is to learn about the latest in wine production, processing and marketing technologies used by successful U.S. wineries in the California Napa Valley. The Serbian delegation will also participate in one-day workshop on October 25 to address several subjects from Rural Development and Agro-Tourism to increasing the competitiveness of Serbian fruit and vegetable exporters in the U.S. and international markets. The study-tour and the workshop are jointly coordinated by the SUC offices in both Belgrade and the U.S., USDA in Washington D.C. and the Office of Agricultural Affairs at the U.S. Embassy in Belgrade and will be coinciding with the SUC 17th annual convention, which will take place in San Francisco, California October 26-28, 2007.
